I know, I can't believe it either!

With a heavy heart, it is time to move on. Flibberty has been a wonderful home for nearly 2 years — an incredibly journey that has been (more than) extremely rewarding. I remember writing this like it was yesterday. It's hard to believe I am here already...

I think it's a testament to say that by simply taking a small step forward, those seemingly tiny footsteps turn to large leaps, eventually propelling to you places you never thought possible. And I couldn't have done it without my Flibberty followers — I certainly hope that you will continue on the journey with me to my new home.

launch, launch and away!

So sorry I've been a bit absent of late — but not to worry — it's all good things and I'm so excited to share the news! One of the projects that I've been working on which has been near and dear to my heart — the Calphalon website — launched in the wee hours of Saturday morning!

It's truly one of the most rewarding sites I've had the opportunity to art direct. In fact, I even shot a handful of the Unison lifestyle photographs you will see on the site (even the main one on the homepage). I'm hoping there are more commercial shoots like that to come... I definitely got my feet wet and I am hooked.

This, of course, put even more "fire under my butt" to get my personal photography site up and running. I'm so thrilled to announce that Ali Harper Photography is now open for business! Please do visit when you get a chance.

I've truly missed Flibberty this past month, but know that there is a really good reason for it — will be unveiling that in just a few days...

The best thing about being a photographer is getting to shoot couples that are totally in love with each other, and catching their sparks in those in-between moments when they are together. Patrick and Alicia are just brimming over with kindness and sweetness, don't you think?

beach birthday.

This family has been a huge part of my life since before I can remember; looking at these photos it's amazing to see how far we've come in the past 25 years. I first photographed Mandi and her then fiancé at their Colorado wedding awhile back... she joked with me when I arrived that I was their first repeat client! I can't wait to get the opportunity again. Their love and respect for each other as individuals and as a family is so evident — and being able to capture it for them is not only an honor but just an amazing thing to experience. Happy Birthday, Mrs. E!
